In 1995, a partnership known as Delco Auto Grooming Centre was incorporated by an offshore technician and his two friends with a capital of $4500. However, in less than a year, the partnership was dissolved and the friends went on their different ways. Our director Chang How was the only one who decided to remain in the same industry and subsequently created Unique Car Beauty Shop with the remaining balance of the initial capital for Delco.

Unique started its operations in a rented car lot in a small petrol kiosk and had only two workers. In 1997, Unique upgraded to a small workshop the size of one carpark space. With 3 workers and having only regular contracts with used car dealers, the company struggled to survive.

Our initial services included car upholstery steam cleaning and disinfectant, polishing and engine bay cleaning, Subsequently, Chang How added leather restoration services to his repertoire of services in the year 2000. Sherine Chan joined Unique in 2000 after leaving her previous employment.

Year 2004 was the year of transformation for Unique as the tiny workshop upgraded again to a full workshop. Unique changed its name to Unique (Since 1995) Pte Ltd. Our signature product CS-II was introduced in 2005. It was not popular then.

In 2006, Chang How added solar film to his repertoire of services, namely Unique Cool solar film. Not too long later, an established corporation named A&B Films Pte Ltd saw the potential in us and decided to cooperate with us in 2007. Unique (Since 1995) Pte Ltd then became a dealer of Johnson Window Films. As a result of our successful sales of Johnson Window Films in Singapore, in 2008, A&B Films Pte Ltd appointed us as their dealer for their ICE range of films. By late 2008, we are the sole dealer in Singapore of 3 reputable brands of solar films.

Currently, we have 4 branches and with staff strength of 30 employees in transacting more than 80,000 track records in the automotive industry. Our company is enjoying steady growth and we are currently looking for International distributors for our CS-II products.

Our philosophy at Unique (Since 1995) Pte Ltd is to deliver quality services, both before and after sales. In our view, the best advertisement is not through the media, but through the recommendations of your friends and relatives. In fact, most of our sales are secured through word-of-mouth upon recommendation from our satisfied customers.

The invention of our signature product CS-II started when Chang How went to a tradeshow in Germany. He was introduced to the idea of CS-II by a chemist who worked for an established corporation in the United States. The chemist, noting that Singapore is a very small country surrounded by the sea with higher humidity levels than other parts of the world, saw an opportunity that paint protection will be useful to the vehicles here as the high humidity levels will be harmful to the vehicles’ paintworks. Soon, a partnership was formed between the R&D departments of Unique (Since 1995) Pte Ltd and the company to develop CS-II. Another development from the partnership is the product used for tyre shine. Despite the success of our products in Singapore, we frequent local and international tradeshows to keep ourselves updated on the latest automotive products, be it paint preservation or other products and the latest techniques required to obtain the maximum benefits from the use of these products. We hope to continue to improve our products by observing and implementing the latest technology.

We are currently looking for International distributors for our products. Unique (Since 1995) Pte Ltd is one the few automotive companies in Singapore who are looking to distribute their products overseas. Some of our international distributors are in Vietnam, Sri Lanka, China, Taiwan, and Indonesia. We are still in talks with interested parties in Thailand and do welcome interested parties who are keen to be our distributors in countries not mentioned above.
